Our Task 2 & 3 has been sent to Burma!

Finally 8.3 have completed and these tasks have been sent to our students in Maesot.

Task 3 asked students to consider how they could share information about where they live. All the students did this in their own way.

Now we are planning for Task 4: What did you do today? Students have started recording what happens to them and what they do on one day so they can share this with the students in Maesot.

Elections in Burma

Elections happening in Burma have resulted in fighting between the Burmese and the military.

 Thousands more refugees have crossed over into Thailand to Maesot, where our Burmese Picture Pals live.

Estelle is visiting there and Sunrise School in the camp today and will be back with news for us in a week.

Raffle Tickets are being printed!

These will be ready to hand out to students next week. The local businesses who supported us are going to try and sell some aswell.

The Pantry is a bistro cafe just off the High Street in town.

They have always been a great place for lunch.

They are open in the evenings doing Mexican food.

They are donatating dinner for two as a prize!

We tried it out last night and it was great!

Our Task 2

These are finally getting finished, the students did portraits of themselves and placed things they like around themselves. We are hoping to send these off to our Burmese students pretty soon! Here is a couple of examples:

Its a tradition in England to save money in clay piggy banks, I don't know why! I wonder what funny traditions the Burmese have?

Severn Trampoling Club

This is an out of school trampolining club and it is called severn trampolining club.

This club runs on a Tuesday and Friday at the Shrewswbury sports village.

                                                 

At the sport village there are many things that you can do.

 Like :   

• rock climing 
• football 
• netball
• table tennis 
• badminton
• baskball
